Exynos still alive, but not for the premium range
According to the information, the Exynos 2300 will power the smartphones just below the Samsung flagships, leaving the next generation, the Galaxy S23, with the exclusive power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, as even Qualcomm itself has confirmed.

WinFuture reports, citing Digitimes and Twitter sources, that Samsung is developing the Exynos 2300, a new high-end chipset aimed at high-end, not premium, smartphones. And therein lies the interesting detail.

This is where the Galaxy S22 FE comes in. According to sources, the next “cheap flagship” could be presented in a “second part” of the Unpacked event in which the Galaxy S23 will be presented, according to the same source, on February 1, 2023. The leaker continues to share details and says that the Galaxy S22 FE will replace the Galaxy A74, a device that was recently said not to launch in 2023.

As for the technical specifications, apart from the Exynos 2300 chip, the information says that the Galaxy S22 FE will have a 108-megapixel camera and will retain the price range of the Galaxy A7x series.

This movement to replace the “older brother” of the mid-range with the “younger brother” of the premium range is surprising, but little. In 2022, the Galaxy A73 5G had a very discreet launch, with very limited availability, unlike its brother, the Galaxy A53, which arrived in Mexico (and of which there are even rumors of its successor).
